It’s going. All right. All right, good. How you doing? All right. I got a little static on my in from you. But I think it’s just my end. So you’re fine. Okay, I’m hoping it’s not recording it if you don’t hear it in your headphones or fine. Yeah, I hear it. Okay. Alright, so we’re back. We got another 1984 show today. That like I said our theme for any new show that we bring back is going to be have from you to 1984. And this one we almost got to the date it premiered on the 22nd of January and I don’t know if you saw what I posted but I found an old promo it premiered after the Super Bowl like the day of the Super Bowl. Okay, but it was like a movie, you know, it’s like a special deal. Yeah, but yes, I thought that was kind of interesting. Yeah, usually get good ratings from that. I don’t know if it did I didn’t look at that. And see that but we haven’t mentioned yet what it was. No, I know the show is called know. It’s Airwolf Airwolf. Whoo episode 1 shadow of the hawk. Yeah Parts 1 and 2. So I guess like it was supposed to be a movie. I’m I have a feeling the parts wanted to or like when you watch it and syndication later and on DVD, so right right, but yeah, so it’s another other players production, huh? And there’s another blast 1984. Yeah, but I know well, I guess it yeah, this is from the same guy that we’ve done a lot of shows from you know, he’s responsible for Battlestar Galactica Magnum P.I tells of the go monkey and Quantum Leap in Jag and NCIS David P Bellisario. So kind of has some of the same themes. Got Jan-Michael Vincent. Who I guess meet like 200 Grand episode on this show. It was in its Heyday.

Holy crap. Yeah. I know. It’s freaking lot of Buddy. Yes, and I don’t know if that was If that was that, you know when I saw that if that’s like in today’s dollars, I think it was then dollars, but that’s how how how many seasons did this run for total? I think the fourth was in syndication though like picked up by USA Network. Okay, so it didn’t it didn’t run terribly long. So I’m gonna I’m gonna drop my opinion right up front. Yes. This was Sykes. I thought it was super cheesy or acted. Yes. We’re at a ridiculous level. No, I agree. This is not what I remember the show being but you know, this is the whole purpose of our show, right? So we want to go back and look to see if these things hold up. The helicopter stuff was cool funny stuff, but there was not enough of it. And I have a feeling again. This is why we do the pilots and see how the show progresses every feeling it changes. It gets better in a way. Well, you know what? I mean like it’s because this is a two-hour movie. They did not have again. I think I mentioned this what show was it before they did not have enough material for two hours. Now, that was the problem so feel like they were throwing stuff in and I don’t know if everyone was drunk and just talking slow on purpose but it seemed like some people were talking really slow to eat up time. Yeah, and there were shots that went on longer than they needed to you can see them. They’re just like someone standing there. Let’s look at them for like nine seconds and then move on so yeah, it was it was definitely there were points were stretched out. Yeah. No, definitely. But yes, we did Jan Michael Vincent who so I wasn’t sure it was okay, and I know people would be mad maybe but I just don’t like is he on something when he’s doing this show I couldn’t tell if it was trying to act this way, but I did see that I remember he did have drug problems and stuff and it came out. I got another yeah, I came out after the show that he did have a pretty he was battling that stuff while all this was going on to so that would explain some stuff. I mean, he’s always been like stuff. I’ve seen him in other within this he’s always been kind of like not a slow talker. But you know, I mean this kind of slow, you know, kind of easy, you know. Yeah, it was that was like, you know, see this style. Yeah exactly, but some stuff was like overly Dawn and but I’m not even just him that Gabrielle woman. I don’t know what was wrong with her. Oh, yeah. She talked funny. I mean she I mean I’ve we’re not like on a people’s no speech impediment. It’s or anything, but she just talked like all kind of whiny soft and it was like almost is that correct? Right it one point. I thought she was like she it but like a child or what but but Ernest Borgnine was awesome. I mean, he was great. He was like the best part of the show. Yeah, he was but yeah, so so, yeah, we did drop our little thing kind of early, but it just I just don’t think there was enough story there. Make a two-parter are to our to now I could have been a solid one-hour episode. Yeah. Oh don’t totally yes. Exactly. All right, so let’s get into the show. So I think we hit the main people. So first of all, so, you know Mike and I found an online version. I don’t know if you noticed that everything was backwards like reversed. It was yeah. So yeah, we watch this game version that because yeah I said for it I saw a couple caps, but the actual quality He was fantastic. Well, the quality was fine. It was just a mirror image of yeah, it’s the exactly so like trying to read it. Read it read it in the instruments. It was kind of hard. So yeah, but anyway, so what? Oh I said it does have a cool font in the thing. The air will font. I thought was kind of cool. I can’t say that. I remember it. And in this is a show I didn’t watch this going up. Oh, you did it went okay. I mean like I knew it was on and stuff. But I never I never sat down and watched it’s okay, you know, this was this was not new to me. But first time I watch the full episode so so yeah. So basically when it opened up there were it was like I’m like in the mountains and yeah, they’re on the desert desert. Yeah, and there’s like a lizard only flies. You see it’s very dramatic opening where your the wind blowing and yeah goes from the the lizard to that helicopter blade to the lizard helicopter. Right? Exactly. Like what is this lizard have to do with the show? It’s just kind of foreshadowing exist, you know metaphor. I don’t know but so then they, you know, they show the chopper starts up and they start to move. Slowly and then you know, it’s faster and faster and then on it was on the wheel. Yeah after I thought he’s gonna go for a ride. Yeah. So alive until he fell yeah and the guys walk out with their helmet sound like it’s like Armageddon. Yeah. It’s kind of like Top Gun Styles they have what they reminded me of has been so what’s that the one group that played they do like that not techno music. I don’t want To sound old but they played like they did like the Super Bowl or something and they they wear the helmets and do that. So, you know talking about I meant to look it up. Yeah, we’re old so that’s why we don’t know I don’t like Devo that’s you know, but like a modest kind of like a modern day. Yeah, I don’t know. Okay anyway. I forgot what they were called. Yeah, what their name is me? Yeah, everyone else is like this anyone that’s listening to this knows exactly what I’m talking about. So, yeah that we get to see the helicopter still looks pretty cool. But I think I’m going to say didn’t age well, but you now there’s some really Kick-Ass helicopters instead. We know there’s a lot of people like she’s so it’s not as cool anymore. But back then it was totally cool, you know, so So yeah, so we get to basically see that going around and then it looks like they’re just doing some testing and then they kind of cut to a like a mission control where the guy right running the show and there’s a senator they’re going to watch it and he’s all pissy and I got a little clip of him right off the bat because he was kind of an angry person. So here we go. This is this is his complaint when he’s there. I don’t believe you all my butt out of bed at midnight. You fly me off to one of I got knows where to see some lousy helicopter and it’s not even any cream cheese. It’s not a lousy helicopter Senator, it’s Airwolf. Well, whatever it is, it’s a nickname you hang on it. It’s still an overgrown beanie with a propellant eating its way through somebody’s budget. So he was very bad about being there to go see some military stuff. I like the name now that kind of eccentric guy. That’s not Lousy helicopter, how arcade Airwolf? Yeah Archangel. Yeah, so he’s like, okay first bit of overacting right there. It’s not wish a live der Gerald’s careful. Did you guys like so I don’t know what that means. I haven’t seen Airwolf yet. So how do I know what that is supposed to meet ya. Yeah, it’s like the first thing I wrote as like this I could see the direction this is going and then I’m not even sure to this day what that guy’s well is but he just seems like some eccentric. Oh, well, you drink? Well, yeah because it’s like the firm which is like an arm of the CIA and he’s like I don’t want to say he’s the leader of it. But he’s like the he’d be like the general manager. Guess you could say If This Were a chain of McDonald’s would be the general man. Right exactly. He tells everyone what to do. He gets your but he doesn’t make the order he gets the orders from up above. Yeah. So so then we’re also they go out do this Mission writer like kind of like a demonstration, but it’s like a real real mission. And I guess well, no, I think it’s no it is a demonstration there actually, but they set it up to be instead of like the ammo that is used to shoot atoms live but it still is a you know, and they go on to say that this helicopter was designed by this doctor Moffat guy, which I don’t remember because I guess he’s only in this one. But yeah, but I thought the visors were kind of cool to just have the visors went down with a but instead of yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah Heidi tinted visor. I’ve had advisors on their helmets Yeah, and the helicopter goes and takes off and then you know, he’s like wow, he’s like how fast is that bird and I got a clip here because it’s a big data dump. We’re basically they tell us all the interesting information about air will also hold the girl. Yeah exactly. I love this part. Is that good? We don’t know yet so far. It’s only slightly exceeded the speed of sound can fly faster than sound. It’s a fast twin-engine jet junk one can express it in those terms except this jet Chopper in disengage its rotor system and ignite these two additional turbines. Nine point six seconds after ignition Airwolf can exceed Mach 1 from sea level to 5000 feet so yes, we get a lot of information about it when it can do so which is kind of like it was like in James Bond Winkie runs through all these gadgets. Well exactly and it’s it’s kind of like not the right way to do it like, you know, like they always talk about like the info dumps like you do and like in a in a book when you’re reading a novel like it just like paragraphs of Statistics or whatever. Nobody cares. You gotta find a better way to kind of ease it in there. You know what I mean instead of like I was just gonna read all that data off now maybe that’s how it really happens in a with a senator there from the Appropriations Committee or whatever. But yeah, but yeah, it was it. Yes. And then at one point she like sums it up. She’s like in other words it kicks by. Yeah. Exactly. Yeah Mach 1 plus Chopper that can kick butt. Yeah. So at this point, I’m sickened by the show. All right all this. f is like And now again time has passed but this seemed like the worst act that your least bad lines in the script. Like they’re just very cliche types of things the same and a show so know there is a lot of cliche it almost like like I said, you know David, uh, what’s his name Bellisario who did, you know the created this show he’s done a lot of stuff. It is almost like they took like everything from all those other shows and didn’t bother like Literally, yeah, like I don’t know. It’s just it would just seem lazy. And again, this might only be the pilots at like that’s like this right now because like I said, I don’t remember it being this way, you know, right so and and it was written by him too. So, yeah, so it’s all on here and this is where they started mentoring mentioning The Firm. Yeah firm, but they don’t say what that is. No, but we’ve you know, they’ve always they’ve used that term in other movies, you know, so if it’s like, you know, you’re supposed to know that’s a CIA or like a provision of it. Yeah, I immediately thought of the book from Sacramento. These are what what this movie time Tom Cruise, right? But basically this guy general manager wants a billion dollars some of the Department of Defense to kind of turn this over to write the first five of the helicopters are Via sembly line and then a billion dollars. Okay. That’s fair. Yeah, and then that’s it yet. I’m like then like helicopter porn basically because it’s just like in flying around and shooting shit and but then the cool sounds of the Hulk I tried to find I don’t know. What did I ever had actually ended up finding a I wanted to find like audio of it of the helicopter. Yeah any luck. Well, I well. I mean I could have just recorded off the TV show but I was trying to like find like someone that had some who had isolated the satin or something. Yeah, exactly. They may I found people that had done it but it was more like They all say they caught they like made their own versions of it. You know what I mean? Like so they went in yeah to they’re not Studio whatever the people have their own stuff, but you know what? I mean? Yeah. Yeah software or whatever they have in. Yeah exactly. So but I mean, I do think that the sounds the use for it sounded kind of cool. Yeah in my opinion. Well your audio audio files out they says sure effect yesterday. So they do the All right, and everything comes out the like Amazed by it all and the Senators like I want to shake her hand to the pilot and then it turns out the pilot is someone who worked with him. I don’t know back in the 70s and I don’t know if you didn’t like him. He went rogue – probably some backstory there. Yeah project Proteus they talked about. Yeah. Yeah, so the pilot wasn’t too happy with with the senator and he ends up just like Leveling the entire control station exactly is going up. There is like empty the clips of all them guns and everything just total the place but I yeah, they don’t really explain why but they did say they mentioned project Proteus and the center is even like project Proteus OU knows that he’s in trouble and it’s gonna happen, right and the Archangel guy as soon as he sees the helicopter. I was like, oh he takes the girl and you know dies behind a table and somehow And save them from the missing a table specifically designed to save them from an attack just like this because I think they were the only two survivors, right? Exactly. And then once again say oh but I wrote down here. Did they fake a blow-up? I don’t know when I was talking about anyway, but Oh, we can somehow we go back to the lizard. Yeah, they’ll so they like they focus on the lizard for a second like to here’s a cleanse the palate cleanser from that. Yeah, right and then it fades into an eagle flying in the sky. Yes. Cello music. It’s beautiful and the speed want mom later. And that’s when we see are our hero who we haven’t been introduced yet. So we’re supposed to do no. Yes, but Stringfellow Hawke, he’s playing the cello on the lake and look watching an eagle fly around so which seems very relaxing actually. Yeah, and it was so relaxing. I put like little snore pictures on my notes went on for a bit. Yeah, and he catches a fish, you know, and it’s all Peaceful. I mean he being the eagle that’s right. That’s suicide as a fish out of the water and it’s all you know, it’s all natural and then you know this helicopter flies in and kind of just breaks peaceful scene disturbs everything. I think it like not the burned down. Yeah, you got caught in a down draft or something. He said yeah, and then it lands in this while it’s Landing Hawk goes up to his Lon. The cabin and out of the helicopter comes the girl Gabrielle and Archangel archangels. I am he’s and he’s saying that now he’s kind of beat up. You know, he’s got like because I remember he had like not an eye patch on but like one of his lenses was dark and covered. So I said just wear an eye patch because he wears glasses and he had a cane and I thought he had a fake hand for the sling. It’s almost a slang. But it looked at it look like a prosthetic. I don’t know. Why would they do that? He insisted that the actor insisted on having his arm free and that constraint so they had to use a prosthetic. Yeah. I’m making it up but no I know so yeah, so they come in it’s clear that they I didn’t hear like so they come into the cabin and Hawk says something I just couldn’t make out what they said and he’s Got like right he’s got like a glass of wine ready for them already is like handing it out. All right, and all I put on here this whole scene. I like it’s like they’re talking at each other and not reacting actually to the words. You know what I mean? Like, they’re not actually having a conversation. They’re just like throwing words around through the register independently talking. Yeah, and then then that whole scene goes away and we cut back to later. And she’s in a drug a trails in address now, so she must have brought a change of clothes. Yeah, and they’re by the so she’s sitting by the fire. Right and the dog is like looking up her dress or something. I didn’t catch that but you didn’t catch that. Yeah. It was the dog when I was like I saw her like it’s her drying because the dog looks like and I’m like and I’m like the he’s a dog he’s not you know, they are less. Yeah, and then they think Qaddafi stole Airwolf. We took care of Because they’re pretty sure I went to Libya, right and this was during a lot of Qaddafi times. So that would it mean I can say would use and if he had never heard of could happy you would have by the end of the show her his name a thousand times. I think every opportunity. They got to say Qaddafi. They said all right, exactly. And then this point she she gets up and says all weird. It’s like she’s I don’t know again. I don’t know she’s drunk or what. But she talks about some painting. She sees she’s like talking that she’s Awesomes like noticing the paintings on the wall. I and I got a clip of that here real quick a little bit of it this reproduction. It’s really excellent. I saw the original in Paris that at the impressionist Museum. No, you didn’t confirm this position. I’m Martha and the crew look at this. No you did it. Yeah. I just continues I don’t and that’s it. He’s like mr. Cool. Yeah, but that’s immediate. That was actually good. That was actually a good I thought that was a good read. That was a good throw out there. I thought that was actually pretty good. I knew at that moment that he had the original on law when he said that yeah, exactly. Yeah. So yeah, I feel like that was kind of cliche as well. But right but then they talk about how she talks about how the whole thing was blowing up. She’s like well, why can’t you just go get it? Well, she’s like, oh the command center blew up and all the plans were taken and blowing up. So we’ll take five point seven years or whatever. I’m like, wait what to steal it back. How can he then? I didn’t really get where that was going and then but then he’s like, yeah you basically you got to go steal it and he’s you know, like well, what about the other Pilots? You know, what about Moffat? He’s like, you know, he’s just don’t like using extreme prejudice. Yeah, yeah, so I don’t know if I guess he’s supposed to just go there not know where this thing is never really, you know, but she’s supposed to stand and I guess she stays behind and brief some theoretically but they never show any breaking they offer of a million dollars. Basically the yeah, so take the job is to him doesn’t seem like any type of incentive that all he wants his brother lost his brother and more right missing in action. So they either wants his No brought back or the body brought back Wright brothers surgeon, which I found is found out spelled st.john. They just call him Sinjin interesting. Yeah, so I don’t know if it’s supposed to be pronounced engine just some bad reading the script. So oh, all right, so they do all that kind of like negotiating or whatever right? Then it’s bedtime. Yeah, so I’m thinking all right, so he walks officer walks past the garage. – good night. He doesn’t say anything Mikey he’s kind of dick and so he goes to bed and she’s up and like the middle of the night looking out the window and then she starts wandering around Kevin and sneak upstairs. I didn’t notice this at first but by the time she upstairs, I think she’s like half naked. I don’t know what happened. Well, I know I think she did sleep naked under a blanket. I’m like you’re in someone else’s house on the other dudes just The other couch and I see you brought a change of clothes. You didn’t bring like something to sleep in how she forgot so he like startles hurry. She was upstairs like hot showed up behind her and she’s like, oh, I want to talk about the art collection. It’s like 2:00 a.m. So it’s like no you did. He keeps calling her a liar. Yeah, you got it says a liar is a liar and a whore is a whore. I’m like wow doesn’t say dark. He called he called her a whore and he barely knows her and then she’s like damn you and then he is offer. She goes to leave and he decides to tell her his grandfather collected the the art for his grandmother. So yeah, so he basically tells her why she had a but I’m like, this is a really really weird. Scene for a TV movie. I mean, yeah, it was yeah for any movie it’s so and then she’s she walks away. She’s like damn you. He’s like too late God already has yeah, that’s like the over-the-top tough coolness that he possesses. Yeah, and then then it’s morning. Yeah, and what’s his name is already cooking breakfast Archangel guy get and then Gabrielle wakes up still just to no blanket. Yeah sure and one thing I wanted nose. So he was making eggs or whatever. Right? And he goes to eat it. And did you notice that like giant wooden’s sporky at or whatever? No, but like every TV show or movie that like takes place like in a rural mountain region or whatever. They always have those giant utensils like why I mean, this is really cutting them making themselves out of the damn car home out of September. Way, you know she kind of tells a little bit what happened but not details and he’s like don’t get involved with him and I have a little bit clip here. Basically, he goes into his background and why he’s such a psychopath. Yes. I think they’re trying to make him seem like angsty and troubled but he seems more like he should be in prison. Anyway, here we go when he was 12, he and his parents were in a boating accident on the lake. They drowned just before he shipped out to Vietnam. He and his girlfriend were in a car crash. She died in nam, he and his brother went down in the same. In he got picked up soon. Jin didn’t Stringfellow is afraid that anyone he loves or might love will die. That’s why when he was so cold to you yesterday. I knew he liked you. Yeah, I’m on your theory. Now. I’m thinking maybe it’s not that these people die. Maybe he kills them. Yeah, maybe a little too convenient. Maybe mrs. Fletcher from the why can’t I think of the day of the show now and I can’t help it. I don’t know Murder She Wrote. Anyway, why doesn’t she go investigate? Yeah. I’m on a first-name basis. Yeah. I know. I know if I would have showed. Said Jessica Fletcher, but fine. Yeah. Anyway, everybody loves dies except for Santini. He’s the only one that didn’t right. So then we got to like like a car chase or whatever going on right away. I’m like this better be a movie set because this looks terrible and sure enough. Yeah, you’re right. I thought the same thing. Yeah, but they were I guess they were there on a movie set the using a helicopter there like the helicopter Pilots for the movie set. Right so that when the star flies or whatever they would actually be flying helicopters, which makes sense. You know, it’s a way to make some good money. I’m sure probably better than just doing Charters whatever they were doing before right, but I guess the the star on set is all mad because he wants to fly the helicopter for real because he has some like newslady there from Entertainment Weekly or something. I don’t know like watch them fly away and but the directors like no you’re not doing this you And Santini’s I’ll pass he’s like no, you’re not flying the helicopter. You don’t know what you’re doing. And I know how the car like they’re supposed to be like one of the hardest things that to do is fly. I know you can’t just get in there and start piloting. Yeah impossible. Yeah. So finally Stringfellow Hawke, you know, here’s a hawk or string or whatever. You want to call him. It’s like it’s fine. I’ll just ride shotgun and I won’t touch anything and that’s what they do and the guy goes and starts it up and everything. Hawk is just sit there with his arms folded and the guy gets it up in the air and this helicopter systems go crazy and and then the ladies like what kind of stunt is there where they call that stuff? Yeah, exactly. They’re like just that one. And then they finally he begs a hawk to take over. So he does and basically does like a loop-de-loop. Yeah. Yeah, like super cool stuff and then I thought he was gonna land and make it look like the other guy did it? Yeah, he didn’t you’d landed and everyone saw the other guys like covering his head and he’s like keep the he humiliated. Yeah, which is gonna like which I would have done too. I don’t know. I’m like, he’s a dick. But yeah, well then yeah, they’re both dicks. Yeah, so then from here we cut to what we go back to Libya. Right? Right and that Moffat guy is like shooting coins out of some guy was hands in a pool. Was it a kid? That was like the most bizarre the games like in his early 20s, he was just some other I don’t know who the hell is she So I’m like, okay, there’s a white British curb shooting at a guy in a pool holding the coin. But yeah, then it like any other that it was Moffitt. And you shot at the guy like three times. I think he hit one time. Yeah, I don’t know his he hit his hand. Yeah. Yeah. But yeah, we’re establishing them off. It is not right or yeah, that’s what they’re trying to do, I guess but I don’t know it was it’s just a really weird I’d seen but yeah taken in isolation. Probably the most bizarre and it’s almost like he’s trying to like again the actor. It’s almost like he’s trying to be like Marlon Brando and like Apocalypse Now is like this. Is that what he’s like trying to emulate Maybe? yeah, I don’t know if this is going for but so what so that’s there’s that like, oh, they got even says you’re more and more like an Arab everyday like that. Yeah and the military guys like How to get into discussion he’s like, well, you know, we’d like you to remove a couple of French Jets from the sky. Yeah, and then he asks him like basically very says we have a saying in the desert lying can be what was it to be attack? I I don’t buy a jackal. Jackal take it down a lion basically if he knows where to bite. So he’s asking worst. Oh, yeah and the helicopter and he tells them like, it’s like one spot is you shoot down this like barrel of it’s the refueling for okay, whatever. Yeah, so middle import. Yeah, so so Moffat sticks is God and are also trigger and nothing happens. I mean no bullet comes out right and and then as he’s walking away holds up the kind fires it so he was like again, yeah, you think he’s crazy cuz yeah, well if there was nothing is like literally just walking through the courtyard what the hell’s wrong with this kid like an army base. Yeah, but then we cut back to the Dom and Stringfellow and they got fired from the movie gig. And what’s the name Hawk tells them about the plant. He’s like, hey, I got to go to whatever Libya and will you come with me or will you help me out? Meet me there? Yeah. So here’s a little clip. I got real quick. We’re talking. I need your help doing what well for starters. You’re going to get the Bolivian. I’ll just Libya hey, that’s Qaddafi said by he doesn’t like us string. We all like him either. We don’t like him either go. I like to sample were artists. Yeah, but he said he says he’ll help he has some friends in the oil business so he can get a ride out there somehow and I think there was another scene in that helicopter to were The old deed was telling some story and talk just like stared him down like in made him stop telling the story kind of babbling but and I’m like I again, I wrote talks characters just to stir stereotypically cool. It’s like but and it’s not even cool. He’s like, yeah, he’s the way he is the way it’s played. It’s not cool. It’s just like a dick and I don’t know and like I said they were going to go sociopath or something. Yeah, I don’t know if it’s if it’s the actor if it’s the writing but yeah it took you want to be cool what he looks like a real. Yeah. Okay. But anyway, they get back to their house his house can’t say that enough. Yeah, they get back to his house and his paintings are all gone. Oh, yeah, right and but at least it’s cellos Left Behind Gabrielle still there. She’s like the firm took it, you know, basically blackmailing him to do. Do the job right? I feel like I’m beating a dead horse here. But when he walked in he had on us like aviator glasses. Yeah, and then they so much with face City Cat takes them off like a dramatic way. Yeah again it just like he’s my fairy. I’m gonna try this like CSI, Miami happens so much. I was distracting to me how cool they yeah, okay, but at least it lets his chat low Archangel, you know wouldn’t let him take the cello, which was I guess they said, I looked online and he says what’s be like a Stradivarius cello, but I know there was such a thing as Stradivarius cellos. I know there are I’m assuming there are but anyway obviously worth a lot of money. So what is this a right here? I don’t know even what might happen because they obviously had to talk about this stuff and I’m like there’s a lot of uncomfortable silence and just staring in this movie for they just like look at each other. Yeah, I’m gonna a lot a lot of like just camera shots where it’s just You see someone’s face and nothing else happened. Yes. Look at the Spurs. Yeah, and so then we go we cut back over to Libya and we’re at a strip club and moffatt’s they’re watching some blonde girl dance. All right, and the Libyan guys, like I don’t understand why you westerners like women with skinny bodies. Yeah. It’s like they die out here in the desert. Yeah and Moffat seems to want her, but they think she’s a spy and Basically says well, I’ll help you. I’m like, wait, what or he wants her before they get rid of her or whatever. He said, you know, but now they want. Yeah, but now the that Libyan guy wants them to take out an American destroyer and he can have the girl and then that’s when I write I wrote down he leers at her for a very long time. That’s kind of how the sea bottom. Yeah, and then we cut to Gabrielle and she’s briefing that there’s a dancer named Angela, which that’s how I was Angela that she’s a spy and knows where are wolf is and that’s what they’re going to use to, you know, get the information from her at this point. They’re fishing and right so he like get something on the line and she stands up. It’s a good girl. He’s thinking yelling at her right? I’m like God and then he catches his nice trout, I guess and she’s like put it back put it back. She’s like we can’t eat it. It’s too beautiful. And then my direction was he just like you said he scarily takes off his glasses and then we cut to him eating it right again big dick. But and and then she said anything about it at the table. Well, he’s like taunting her right? Well, I got the nigga. I have some volume. Yeah. I have Mario here. It’s this is him. Basically, this is like he’s treating her like a child. This is this and she kind of acts like one too. But here we go is the Yeah, yeah, I’m just lucky ugly fish. I don’t know. Maybe that’s it. They’re like Soul no souls to eyes on once I was have that is ugly fish. Yeah, like salt and pig has not one of God’s Most Beautiful Creatures about I bet you like pork. Yeah pox. Okay lamb. Yeah. I love Lan cute cuddly. Willie lambs and she’s talking like she’s like three years old, right? Yeah, I do right. That’s one time. Wait wait, you’re a government spy and you’re crying over a fish and you’re not gonna get very far be it a spider how many people you’ve seen killed and different ways by now. Yeah, but now it’s we got Airwolf out flying looking for that. Right, right and they find one and hey, look there’s a destroyer. Yeah, exactly. Obviously there were probably a lot of boats in the area kind of keep an eye on things back that and but and they go to shoot it in the crews. Like whoa. Whoa. Hey, that’s an American Destroyer. Like, what do you thinking? There’s Pizza in there and load them up. I don’t know what he says, you know, basically talking about, you know, get the Pod ready with the missiles are and just as a boy. It blows up. We see go back to Hawk serenading the eagle. There’s some weird really weird cutaways. Yeah. Yeah, he’s back in the lake with his Eagle on his cello and his dog and the girl the girl walks up to Gabrielle walks up to watch these nuns claps. And if she says something to know about like, you know, I didn’t know you were so good or something about planets. He’s like you see me, you know everything about Me gosh, it was just be nice. Yeah, and then then they kiss and comfortably and comfortably and then they cut to the dog and the dog is Jani just exactly how I felt at that moment. Yeah, and then Santini shows up because they go in the house right then since he shows up and he’s like trying to move the dog with the helicopter because he will get up to bed. It was actually kind of funny. Yeah. Yeah, so he brings all these groceries and yeah. And I don’t know. I honestly I don’t know. I don’t know if I was just shocked that or what but I don’t know what they talked about. Well, here’s one little scene that they talked about because Santini was so he walks in with a box of groceries and she’s like, oh, let me help and he’s not having any of that because he’s not in his women live stuff. So yeah, let me take one. No, no, no. No, I don’t believe it. Yeah, I like the sex is the way God intended the way God intended them. I wouldn’t press them. Gabrielle won’t like the answers. Well, I guess I’m old-fashioned. But well, that’s my privilege. Right right so long as you got some red meat in there and that’s all she cares about. She just lets it drop. Yeah. Yeah, and then like just a cap off that entire scene when they lead Hawk is like get dinner started, you know, like oh, yeah kind of bark in a command at her but she’s okay and she goes off and doesn’t does it I think Isn’t this is he she say something about she’ll make some steaks and he’s basically like well, yeah, you can cook one for the dog or something like that, right? Yeah. Yeah like he’s like, yeah, but yeah, but this is why I said there’s just so much filler here because it’s that whole scene wasn’t needed. Yeah, exactly. There’s no point of that besides the fact that she got to say that she had eaten anything but vegetables for six days because I guess all he eats is fish. All right, she won’t eat cute fish. I don’t know just isn’t exactly. But then they go out flying and I guess I didn’t realize that they were doing this because they didn’t really say but because I can’t remember now Santini Center or Stringfellow set up. We want to show you something but they go and find the where they end up because remember they drop in that little hole. Yes, you never watch that show. That’s where they hide Airwolf later in the series. That’s werewolf stays. So no one knows where it is interesting. Okay, but they don’t really make it clear that Is that they’re going searching for this pot? That is going he’s like I want to show you something. There it is. How far is this go? Okay, and then they I think they say something they can hide it but they don’t make it. You know, whatever. Yeah, he did say he’s like how deep is this is like I don’t know. I never tried to land in here. Yeah, exactly and then they get back and now archangels sitting there eating the steak and Gabrielle is gone ahead. They sent her ahead. Does he make us does he mention that the dancers already dead? Yeah. Okay. Yeah, he does so he’s like but he’s dead. So we sent Gabriella. Yeah, but they don’t he don’t see here that Gabrielle is going to be taking place. They just say he’s they sent her ahead get ready. And again, you still never really had a briefing of what the hell he supposed to do is just supposed to go walk in and steal a helicopter. Yeah, but they immediately caught a key Gabrielle doing yeah they do. Right. So we see it is never says it and they already suspected. She’s a spy like right off the bat. Yeah, because they can we have in the same place. Yeah, we’re sure you know, it’s a dancer / spy agency. So we figure by go it 50/50 that it’s going to be a spy but he’s like we gotta go now, you know because they’re supposed to leave in 10 days or whatever now they gotta go now because that happened and it’s because they just destroy yeah. Yeah, they got to stop this. He’s crazy bastards. Yeah, so he’s like I’ll have someone take care of your dog. And he’s like he takes care of himself and like ciao. We’re thankful. Yeah. He said I’m gonna show you let him go when you leave. What is it? I mean, what is it? Yeah, I don’t know. I guess you can go catch rabbits eat. Yeah. He’s like, yeah, we got 10 hours and I can’t read do they say 10 hours to get to Libya or 10 hours to get to France because that’s where you stopped. Tell me about an hour to get into France to get you. Okay, that makes sense. Okay, I’m like Is he going to be briefed? And when does he know what to do? And then I noticed that they did they flew fire playing in they didn’t fly like a regular plank because they show like the fighter jets land. He comes out like in a flight suit on. Oh, yeah, you’re right. Yeah, and then so when he comes in out of the flight suit, then there’s that woman there in a lab coat for whatever reason this other completely unnecessary scene, right and they try to like make it I don’t know if they’re trying to be funny but it didn’t really come off here as this thing. Springfield, oh ho Yeah strip out of your clothes, please. Your flight suit take it off. We only have 16 minutes. It was dumb. Yeah. Yeah. I mean there was no point. They could have just shown him or just had him land in Libya. Yeah, because all they say is like there’s a new plan in place Mike. We already they give them a book like that’s good because I didn’t know the old plans. Yeah. Exactly, aren’t you? Yeah, and they’re like, so we found you some new clothes, but they are used and she’s like even the underwear. I’m like what what I don’t wear underwear. Yeah, these I gotta wear underwear and you don’t need to know. Yeah, but Mike, I mean they couldn’t have got gone to the store and buy some Fruit of the Looms something. I’m not wearing underwear now that he could have just kept on anyway, I mean, yeah, well, I could never worn his underwear as how long you gonna wear the same underwear. Well, I know but I guess um as opposed to break somebody else’s yeah. That’s what I mean. Yeah. And basically this is where he finds out that Angela has now the dancer there and he’s all pissy about it. Right right, so But yeah, so you said the libyans know she’s a spy and now Moffat wants her. Right? Right. So now she she did her dance right I jump ahead or their dance and then she was in the back room, which this whole back room seemed like the dressing room again. It went on way too long. There’s a lot of dead air like she’s sitting there wiping the sweat off her head and then Hawk walks in they do some smooching. I’m a great additional risk in this situation. You’re in a club and Mafia you’re going to steal the helicopter. You’re talking to the suspected spy. This is not good. No, it’s fine. Don’t worry about it. Yeah, the Libyan thing will go back in the dressing room. They have morals. Yeah. Yeah. It looks like a safe house, I guess right. Yeah, so she says, okay. Well, you know farewell Fizz at qaddafi’s Summer Palace And you know, don’t worry about me. I’m not going to die. She’s like I’m not going to fall into one of those people that he loves ya leads his life and it’s goes on and on and then they need leaves and then as he’s leaving he runs into the old man was his name again Dominic just yeah. So listen to him. He’s like, oh, hey you were supposed to be here. Yeah. Well, I figured It all out so I figured yeah, he’s like, yeah the Destroyer got blown up. So I figured they were probably, you know, you’re probably going to up your plan a little bit Yeah, so then they got a but then they got to go running down the street because some cops are coming down the street and they hide in their car. The cops are like right like it was too late to run by the time they saw the cops. But yeah and like like I put down like two white dudes and Libya and 1980. You gotta stick out like a sore thumb that exactly you know, We finished everything going on exactly and then then they’re so they’re talking while they’re hiding in this car. And after that I’m like and they kept showing these two camels to use it. They were like going back and forth between them talking to these two camels must be doing I didn’t even like is that supposed to be symbolism for them? I don’t know. Maybe it was just like the lizard beginning. Yeah, but then then Without their attacker like Dominic, he’s really the best one in this show. It was so far. He is yeah. Yeah, cut to Gabrielle being grilled by the police. Oh, yeah, she’s being interrogated. Yeah, and this is where I’m like wait. She’s American. I hope you have a clip of what she says her name. No because it is obviously French so she’s like Buble. Yeah exactly. She has an accent. So I mean, yeah, okay. She could have been a naturalized citizen or whatever you want to say. But yeah, that was good stuff. Yeah, she’s and I like she’s gonna be dead obviously, even when she told Stringfellow that she Don’t be like the others and she won’t die. I’m like she’s dead right you’re going down and they didn’t notice when they show the one clip. Shoot what we’re what was it? They were showing something and Boomer from the original Battlestar Galactica was in it. I didn’t ya but anyway, he did because I had some Battlestar Galactica reference in my head while I was questioning. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. But yeah, so then it’s all yeah, that’s right. There’s the American Military is sending some Fighters out there because they want them to taunt them. So are they’ll send Airwolf out or something like that so they can try to get it. That’s what it is. That’s what I was thinking. But yeah, so he’s got Papa takes her out to the desert, right? Yeah, like sort of like state to the ground or yeah. Sure. I do the Jeep. Yeah, she’s just dehydrating. Yeah, and then they see at one point. They see a helicopter fly over this helicopter. Well first it flies over by Mom, right? It’s like someone was with him or whatever and then it flies over to a truck that happened to be driving by with Dominic and Hawk and they’re like, let’s go check it out. So they like follow this helicopter. Yeah, exactly. Like we’ve seen helicopters tanks and other stuff. So let’s it’s got something’s got to be going down on down there. They know where to go because they’re just basically following the trail of all the Russian military equipment. Yeah, but I mean you’re in Libya, it’s probably this way all yours. Yeah. I don’t know so then they stopped at some checkpoint or something. And what the hell happened that or so Stringfellow tells him to talk and speak in French instead. He starts talking in Italian Santini and it turns out the guy speaks Italian so they got about here though, you know hate you no talking back and forth. And because the guys like you’re supposed to be here last next Saturday’s like well, it’s Saturday is the Saturday but uh, you know, does it matter? I mean, that’s kind of what I got what they were saying by your trust in the work the four words. I know that so yeah guys like okay. We let cement. Yeah, you know, it’s not like it’s any kind of military installation, you know, but as we’re driving in they see like the Airwolf just like sitting off in the corner and so it’s like they’re driving like three miles an hour to staring at it the whole time, you know, nah not being obvious at all. And then then we cut back to Gabrielle on the desert and she still alive and he’s like funny. Just over there is the Mediterranean not far away. Maybe I should take you over there, but that would be cruel because it’s a very salty water like jesus– guy is nuts. Anyway lost. Oh, yeah, the guys are just now like what running around on the compound somehow they just walked away from their true. Yeah, I brought it and that’s you like it’s easy for two white guys, especially one that’s like 65 to break into our military compound. Yeah. Well, they already got in so now they just barely got to do is walk around it’s fine. Yeah, and they see the two other Pilots. There’s no they see one of the pilots walk-in into the room where the pool is. He’s in his his gear. He’s the only other Guy around and he’s got blond hair. So he’s easy to see and they’re like, well obviously something’s going on in there. So they follow them in. Sorry, I’m reading I’m trying to figure out what plan I then I think they go in there. Right and this is when the One Pilot talks to the other Pilots saying what tell them what’s going on. I haven’t been out in the desert. I have a yeah, and I have a clip of that here alone. Come on Chuck. You can’t just swim eat grapes and play around all the time. What’s the matter with you? Hi, I just talked to Captain been morphed. He said Mama. It has has that dancer from the red Castle staked out to a sand dune somewhere tortured the what she’s nothing us. Well, she is to me. That’s as John Wayne and person I was going to say was that John Wayne responding. Well, he is to me. This is what I have to say about that. Yeah, and then that’s super cool. So then we go back to what’s your name out of the desert and then This is where I miss something because he offers to save her but he says what he does will there will be scarring. Yeah, and I’m not sure what the hell he was trying to get to because then he pretends to shooter but the gun doesn’t have any bullets in it was he gonna like shoot the handcuffs off like he was shooting the pennies that guy. I don’t know it was to make any sense. It didn’t that that parted. All right. But yeah, so then we cut back. now we got what Dom and Hawk walking out in the flight hours flight suit. Oh, yeah. What the helmets on? Yeah and somehow that one fits Dom Dom’s body. Yeah. He obviously don’t think it’s anything like the other guy even with the helmet on because the other guys like, you know, like 32 and super-fit land and walk by and like the one military guys like hey, wait a second. Yeah, and so he tells what whatever Dom is in that shop or anyway, Yeah, but Hawks stops and you know there. D search question like hey helmet, he’s not answering him and say with your advisor and he doesn’t do it till they they pull some guns on him and he’s waiting for Dom to start the Shopper and then perfect timing starts the chopper just as he’s starting a lift as Pfizer and then you know, it’s a stress and ards and then the worst I’ve seen this amount of history is boring. it’s like these two punches like takes out the two guards and then there’s like there’s got to be 30 people shooting at him and he’s out in the open. They’re not even close. Yeah, like he would have been shredded then, you know get some helicopter or wealth and they take up, you know, they start to lift off a little bit and then he Like shoot everybody. But the helicopter. Yeah, but the helicopter dozens of people sprays bullets everywhere. In fact, I don’t know if he says like one of the palm trees was like sawed in half and fell down those I was like that’s that that was actually pretty cool and then off they go. Yeah. I’m not wait. I think I have a little sound that are we’ll wait. Hold on a second the streets. Guys, it’s like my car started. Yeah, it’s like but anyway, it does do screeching noises occasionally. But yeah, so they go and take off and They don’t really know where to go because they’re going to find Gabrielle with you know, it’s just miles and miles of desert, but they happen to run across some tracks. So they follow them. Yeah and and they get to her right? Yeah because moffatt’s you can come in and he takes off. Yeah, and they land and he’s like get the candied then you got Dominic run it out with his kid T. This is Airwolf definite just crack me up. I’m glad everything was You know it laid back to marry. Yeah, exactly and then So yeah, so then of course you get story tries to help her and then she says a couple things but then she dies like she promised me. No way never saw that coming. Yeah, and I’m like, I know this is for adults, but wow, this is so sappy because this is really right. This is this wasn’t made for kids. I mean, no kids like our age just liked it because it had a kick-ass helicopter and blue shit up. Yeah, that’s really all that you had going for it. Yeah. Yeah, so this We finally get into some of that stuff’s because it Moffitt’s racing back and they get in the helicopter and they just fucking go to town know yet. This is like when Rocky gets hit one too many times and you get your second wind. So yeah, then they just like destroy everything in sight. Right. The only thing is like they had the music cranked up so you couldn’t hear anything blowing up. It was just like the music which fine I don’t know but But yeah, so there are others just blown up the keep like cut into this Command Center like the living Command Center the guys like obviously getting nervous because they’re getting closer closer. Yeah, like I don’t know I would just would have left, you know. Yeah, but he’s so they’re blowing everything up they see they still haven’t caught Moffat and And make the last thing you see is like a missile coming at them and they dive behind a dune and then you see this explosion. You’re like, oh, yeah and motion to mention this beginning because there was a very similar scene at the beginning. Yeah where they thought they did the same thing with a missile and at the last second moved out of the way and we thought they were exploded or whatever, but they didn’t and so very similar here. This is the sanding huge explosion Moffat things, too. Their dad right? I think he does anyway, so he drives up to the Sandy and and right as he does they kind of lift up from behind us and in the air. Well, yeah, absolutely and then Airwolf basically launches every piece of Arsenal at this guy, I mean literally every bullet that it has every missile is launched at this guy literally and then what ends up happening is you hear this clicking noise and it’s Hawk still hitting the trigger and there’s no more. Emma left. Yeah, that’s that’s where sadly the version I was watching ended. Yeah mine too. And I had to find the French version. Luckily. There was really the only thing that Dominic said something like, you know, I think he’s dead. I don’t know what he said, but he’s like that’s enough, you know, we’re done and then it I don’t know and then I saw that it ended it, didn’t that was it? I thought maybe again maybe the versions I could find they cut off something, but I know they go. Hide the helicopter. Like I said see you later, but it I did not find that. So if anyone actually has seen the full version and the thing that irritated me was I was able to find it on our Comcast on cable, but they only had part they had every episode after that. They had episodes after this on it, right? Yeah because I was about ready to tell you that it’s on demand. Yeah, but they had like some other episodes but not this one so We missed that part. So if there’s anything that we didn’t get to see that we care about let us know let us know right and that was Airwolf. So, you know, and I know and I know a lot of people said they love the show and everything on Facebook and Twitter and stuff and I did too. Don’t get me wrong. But this movie at least in this stage just didn’t do it for me at all. It just and I think part of it is I think it was too long. you said right and I think you know, there’s some of the choices that they made acting wise and stuff just didn’t work. I think if it was made now again, and we’re going to hates reboots, but I think they can make it a lot cleaner and Tighter and probably yeah just as cheesy but maybe better. Yeah, you need to have a little cheese factor to show like this totally. Yeah, right, right and the said overcome of that. So yeah, I yeah, I mean, like I said, I didn’t watch it growing up I knew about it just was never interested. So I’m probably have the unpopular opinion, but this was not my show. I’ll tell you that no and I don’t blame you because it I didn’t get into this at all watching it. So again, sorry people. I like it. It’s you know, I’d like to hear your opinion, you know? Yeah. I want to hear your opinions. I want yeah and what you liked about it, right, especially if If it gets better, I should say right and I have a feeling it’s only an hour show. It’s probably a lot tighter and her probably like watched it a couple times. I think I’m gonna dial back on this. Yeah, so but anyway, so that’s that’s Airwolf. Yeah. Yeah good deal.
